Description

Chiltern, a classic chukka boot made from the finest snuff suede with Dainite rubber soles.

This Snuff suede is strong and durable, and has a good substance. Due to its special tannage, this leather is water and stain repellent under normal conditions, which helps to retain its nap and colour.

It is believed that a Chukka boot has both a sporting and a military heritage. A Chukka boot (or Desert boot) is constructed using three pieces of outer material – Inside Quarter, Outside Quarter and Vamp with low cut leg (but above the ankle) and two to three eyelets.

The 224 Last is a medium round toe and generous, but not bulbous, toe depth. The remarkable fitting qualities of last 224 has certainly stood the test of time, given that it dates back to 1953.
